Wikipedia開始出現了Swahili, Yoruba, 和Somali語的頁面。BBC上有一篇題目雖然有點老套但仍然很有趣的討論，議題是：

How important is it to be able to read, write and speak an African language? Is English now the most important language in the world? Should people in the developing world still be taught local languages and are they useful for everyday life?

Are African languages important?

這讓我想到我「有點」不喜歡wikipedia的原因在他對繁體中文和簡體中文的處理方式，不是民族主義的問題，而是（除了文字本身的差異外）語彙甚至語言結構的些微不同都是當地知識的一部份。

看了排行榜，Swahili第99名（1584條）, Yoruba第169名（55條）, Somali第181名（33條）。

附註。在Sousse最大的網咖（Publinet Sousse Centre）瞧見看店的員工努力編輯阿拉伯語的wikipedia時，有一種奇妙的認同感：雖然我從未創作過任何條目，只修過錯字…
